The layer nobody sees and every job depends on. Crushed sandstone sub-base, scalpings and fill for tracks, yards, bases and levels.

Graded to lock together

Sub-base is crushed stone left with a mix of sizes, from dust up to coarse pieces. Rolled in layers, the small pieces fill the gaps between the big ones and the layer locks together into a firm base.

How it's supplied

Sub-base, scalpings and fill are loaded loose by shovel into tippers, or into bulk bags for smaller jobs. Collection or delivery is arranged when we open.
